Shakespeare Link has always maintained the hallmark of being client led. We respond to demand - if a project is suggested and it’s appropriate and fundable then we’ll do our best to do it.
In association with The Sign Language People we have already filmed The Tempest, A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream and most recently Twelfth Night. We are currently seeking funding to continue the series. We are proud that this work has become the inspiration for deaf projects by our sister company Shakespeare Link Canada.
Signed Shakespeare - Shakespeare has been translated into over 80 languages around the world but never before into Sign on film; this has created a way of making Shakespeare accessible to the deaf. We aim to translate and film the complete works and are very grateful to Sainsburys who have made it possible to begin undertaking this massive project.
“The whole project was wonderful - fascinating, I’ve developed a much greater insight into Shakespeare”Jeff Wilson - Actor
